Monkey business

We picked up an aDORable costume for Conner to wear when the trick-or-treaters come by this Halloween. Of course I had to try it on him to make sure it fit and that he didn't mind wearing it. Well. Not only did it fit perfectly but I don't know that he even noticed he was wearing it! 

"Why are you staring at me like that?" 

"All this monkey business is making me thirsty."

"For some reason this looks absolutely delicious..."

"Mmmm... banana..."

"My belly seems a little plumper than usual."

"Don't even think about it Mister, I'm not sharing."

"Is there something behind me?"

Going to the pumpkin patch

Now that Conner is cutting out his morning nap (his choice, not mine) we have a lot more time to play and hang out. Today I decided to take him for his first trip to the local pumpkin patch. We were there for 2 hours and he had a blast!

Hotel Living

When we first arrived in St Louis we had to stay in a hotel for a pretty long time while closing on the house. A month and half, to be precise. That was after 2 weeks in a Hawaii hotel, and then a month... 2 months?... at Michael's parent's house. Needless to say, we were definitely ready to get into our new house and stop living out of suitcases.

We kept Conner distracted with toys and games, and lots of trips to the pool and lobby. Here he is playing with his new ball popper.

When living in a hotel you run out of things to do pretty quickly and you will do anything to keep yourself occupied. I decided to try on all my clothes and sort through what was too big and too small. Imagine my shock to find that I could fit into my wedding dress again!

Another thing we did to keep busy was take a trip to Grant's Farm. That's where the Anheiser Busch Clydesdales are kept, along with assorted other animals. It was kinda like a zoo. With free beer. Conner got to see his first animals besides a dog, and he was fascinated.

Catching Up...

Well well well. Looks like it's been a little while since our last entry (about 10 months, but who's counting?) so maybe we should catch everyone up. We recently purchased our FIRST home and are thrilled with it. Michael's commute is only about 25 minutes and we are in a little subdivision, but it still feels like we are living in the country. It's the best of both worlds.

Conner has (finally) started walking, even though we all knew he could do it months ago. All of us except him, of course. On our very first day in the new house he decided to hold onto a ball while walking but needed two hands to do it... suddenly a whole new world opened up! He's been cruising for sooo long that he never really falls; something we are so very grateful for.
