Labor and Delivery Tutorial

We went to our "What to Expect Class" today and figured it'd be a good idea to take notes during the Labor and Delivery tutorial. The "guest speaker" was... well... just take a look at Michael's notes...

- blah blah: me, me, me

- blah blah: being prego sucks

- blah x 3 = more me me me

- Pack a bag early (hmmm... baby bug-out bag?)

- blah me

- lip moisturizer, relaxing music, shower shoes, camera, pillow, chargers, books/magazines (E-reader!), take home outfit, car seat

- blah, more me

-blah, my husband doesn't listen to me

- (baby bug-out bag: caribeaners w/ pacifiers on outside, spare bottles, ex formula, baby food, spiderman backpack)... holy crap, she's still talking

- contractions from start to start, go in when 5 mins per and last 1 hr

- blah I got fat

- blah my friend's husband

- preadmission registration at Tripler when 28 wks. prego

- blah my son wants to change his name

- blah my friend Charles and my son Samuel and my dad who's called "Pop"

Total time:  45 mins. actual,  1 1/2 months relative.

Further notes:  search room for time warp generator field during next break! Could pay for kid's college...

Well as most of you know already, or figured out from the post title, WE'RE HAVING A BOY! That's right, we've won the genetic lottery! We will be having the first Rodgers grandchild to carry on the family name. Here are the sonograms, enjoy!

Well, there he is! I know this wasn't a very long post, but I wanted to get the sonograms on there quickly so you could all check him out. Everyone who hasn't voted on a boy name go and do it quickly because we're about to close the poll! We may come back later with a new name poll once we've narrowed down our choices a little more. Oh, and Mom, I believe you mentioned something about a bonus for having a boy...care to elaborate?

AHHHH

I woke up at midnight and have been just sitting here watching movies and surfing the internet for the last 5 hours, completely wide awake. I am really dreading work tomorrow - I'm going to be sooo tired.

About 30 minutes ago I suddenly started feeling the baby moving around for the first time! It feels like little bubbles growling around my tummy area. It goes for about 10-15 seconds before it stops... then starts again a few minutes later! 

I'm so relieved and it makes me so happy!
